Tim Holmes - Co Owner 
Tim Holmes has been involved with The Performing Arts Academy since 1994 when he came in to teach two bunnies how to hop for The Velveteen Rabbit.  Since then, Tim has choreographed numerous shows including Cinderella and The Music Man.  Tim has directed The Performing Arts Academy productions of Aladdin, 101 Dalmatians, Mulan, Oliver!, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid.  He currently teaches the Thursday night classes at The Performing Arts Academy.  Tim has worked with Project Theatre, Galesburg Community Theatre, Coffe Bean Theatre, Stage Right Productions, and Prairie Players Civic Theatre where he recently directed Guys and Dolls and Oklahoma.  This summer he will choreograph the Orpheum Theatre's production of Godspell.  Tim is the Box Off Manager at the Orpheum Theatre.    


 Katy Redington - Co Owner 
Katy graduated from Bradley University with a degree in Theatre Performance and Vocal Music.  She started with The Performing Arts Academy as a student herself and has fulfilled her lifelong dream coming back to teach.  Katy currently teaches the Tuesday night classes at the Academy and has worked as the stage manager for our Thursday Night Classes since graduating in 2010.  She is an active member in the Galesburg community theatre scene having served as a board member for Prairie Players as well as chairman of their production planning committee.  Recent productions outside of the Academy include Cabaret, Oklahoma!, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Young Frankenstein, and A Christmas Story the Musical.  You will see her onstage this summer in the Orpheum Theatre's production of Godspell.  Katy teaches voice within The Performing Arts Academy and works for Blick Art Materials. 

 


The Academy year is comprised of two semesters of creative dramatic classes (Fall and Winter).  Classes are an hour long and meet after school on Tuesday and Thursday Nights.

Tuesday Classes have a final program in late February or early March.

Thursday Classes culminate with a fully staged production the first weekend of May at The Orpheum Theatre.
